Enthusiasm Part 4

Enthusiasm and suggestion

Deliberately place in your own mind, through the principle of auto suggestion, the ambition to success through the aid of a definite chief aim, and notice how quickly all of your latent or undeveloped ability in the nature of past experience will become stimulated and aroused to action on your behalf. Plant in a child's mind, through the principle of suggestion, the ambition to become a lawyer, or doctor, or engineer, and if you plant that suggestion deeply enough, and keep it there, by repetition, it will begin to move the child toward the achievement of the object of that ambition.

If you would plant a suggestion "deeply", mix it generously with enthusiasm, for enthusiasm is the fertilizer that will ensure its rapid growth as well as its permanency.

It is not so much what  you say as it is the TONE and MANNER in which you say it that makes a lasting impression.

It naturally follows, therefore, that sincerity of purpose, honesty, and earnestness must be placed behind all that one says if one would make a lasting and favorable impression.

Whatever you successfully sell to others you must first sell to yourself!

No one affords to express, through words or acts. anything that is not in harmony with their own belief, and if they do, they must  pay by the loss of their ability to influence others.

No one can become a master salesperson if they compromise falsehood. Even if no one ever catches them red-handed in expressing what they do not believe, their words "Flesh" if they do not come from the heart, and if they are not mixed with genuine, unadulterated enthusiasm.

You cannot afford to suggest to another person, by word of mouth or by an act of yours, anything that you do not believe.

If you compromise with your own conscience, it will not be long before you will have no conscience; for your conscience will fail to guide you, just as an alarm clock will fail to awaken you if you do not heed it.

There is one thing in the world that gives us real and enduring power, and that is character. Reputation, bear in mind, is not character. Reputation is that which people are believed to be; character is that which people are! If you would be a person of great influence, then be a person of real character.

Character is the philosopher's lodestone through which all who have it may turn the base metals of their life into pure gold.

Without character you have nothing, you are nothing, and you can be nothing.
Character is something that you cannot beg or steal of buy. You can get it only by building it; and you can built it by your own thoughts and deeds, and in no other way.

One of the greatest powers for good on the face of this earth, is faith, To this marvelous power may be traced miracles of the most astounding nature. It offers peace on earth to all who embrace it.

Faith involves a principle so far reaching in its effect that no one can say what its limitations are, or if it has limitations.

To become successful you must be a person of action. To "Know" is not sufficient. It is necessary both to know and to do.

Enthusiasm is the mainspring of the mind that urges one to put knowledge into action.

Enthusiasm is as essential to a salesperson as water is to a duck!

Enthusiasm knows no defeat!

CAN A FIRM ALWAYS SPOT THE NEXT GREAT TRADER?

No. But a prop firm can tell who has a poor chance to become a CPT. To be good at anything will take everything you have. Not having developed the skills to work hard is a turn-off. Trading is a skill learned by doing, not just by reading a lot, theorizing, or the faux art of “paper trading.” THE PROS AND CONS OF RECRUITING EXPERIENCED TRADERS Loyalty is a good thing to a point, but it cannot trump logistics and reality. losing money should really bother you. If I am negative three days in a row, I spend a long evening on my couch with a bottle of red wine and comfort food. As traders, we can all recite the memorable line from Wall Street: “A man looks in the abyss, there is nothing staring back at him. At that moment he discovers his character. That keeps the man out of the abyss.”  Traders don’t talk about how they want to trade, what they want to read about trading, or how they wish they could talk about trading. Traders trade, read about trading, and talk about trading.

Reading the Tape

Dr. Steenbarger, aka the godfather of modern trading psychology, wrote: “My experience is that an understanding of (and ability to read) order flow is one important factor that separates the older, successful generation of day traders from the newbies who only know simple chart patterns and indicator readings.” continue working on the skill of reading the tape and to sell the stock on the offer when the tape showed weakness. “Reading the tape must be learned through personal experience and long observation.” keep in mind that nothing can top experience. Don’t give up. It is not always this easy to Read the Tape. But there are plays where it really is simple. And reading the tape will offer pattern recognition plays that you can exploit. Overcoming a Confirmation Bias We all fight confirmation bias. But it will harm our performance if we do not overcome it. Let the tape talk to you. And use online vehicles like StockTwits and your peers sitting next to you to gain second ...
All great leaders in every walk of life are highly sexed, but they follow the habit of controlling their sex desires, switching them into a driving force behind their occupation. The person who has self discipline understands the emotion of sex, respects it, and learns to control and transmute it into contructive activities. Q: Just what damage is there in over-indulgence of sex? A: The greatest damage is that it depletes the source of man's greatest driving force, and wastes, without adequate compensation, man's creative energy. Controlled sex supplies the magnetic force that attracts people to one another. It is the most important factor of a pleasing personality. It gives quality to the tone of voice and enables one to convey through the voice any feeling desired. It serves, as nothing else can serve, to give motive power to one's desires. It keeps the nervous system changed with the energy needed to carry on the work of maintaining the body. It sharpens the imagination...
