Enthusiasm Part 4

Enthusiasm and suggestion

Deliberately place in your own mind, through the principle of auto suggestion, the ambition to success through the aid of a definite chief aim, and notice how quickly all of your latent or undeveloped ability in the nature of past experience will become stimulated and aroused to action on your behalf. Plant in a child's mind, through the principle of suggestion, the ambition to become a lawyer, or doctor, or engineer, and if you plant that suggestion deeply enough, and keep it there, by repetition, it will begin to move the child toward the achievement of the object of that ambition.

If you would plant a suggestion "deeply", mix it generously with enthusiasm, for enthusiasm is the fertilizer that will ensure its rapid growth as well as its permanency.

It is not so much what  you say as it is the TONE and MANNER in which you say it that makes a lasting impression.

It naturally follows, therefore, that sincerity of purpose, honesty, and earnestness must be placed behind all that one says if one would make a lasting and favorable impression.

Whatever you successfully sell to others you must first sell to yourself!

No one affords to express, through words or acts. anything that is not in harmony with their own belief, and if they do, they must  pay by the loss of their ability to influence others.

No one can become a master salesperson if they compromise falsehood. Even if no one ever catches them red-handed in expressing what they do not believe, their words "Flesh" if they do not come from the heart, and if they are not mixed with genuine, unadulterated enthusiasm.

You cannot afford to suggest to another person, by word of mouth or by an act of yours, anything that you do not believe.

If you compromise with your own conscience, it will not be long before you will have no conscience; for your conscience will fail to guide you, just as an alarm clock will fail to awaken you if you do not heed it.

There is one thing in the world that gives us real and enduring power, and that is character. Reputation, bear in mind, is not character. Reputation is that which people are believed to be; character is that which people are! If you would be a person of great influence, then be a person of real character.

Character is the philosopher's lodestone through which all who have it may turn the base metals of their life into pure gold.

Without character you have nothing, you are nothing, and you can be nothing.
Character is something that you cannot beg or steal of buy. You can get it only by building it; and you can built it by your own thoughts and deeds, and in no other way.

One of the greatest powers for good on the face of this earth, is faith, To this marvelous power may be traced miracles of the most astounding nature. It offers peace on earth to all who embrace it.

Faith involves a principle so far reaching in its effect that no one can say what its limitations are, or if it has limitations.

To become successful you must be a person of action. To "Know" is not sufficient. It is necessary both to know and to do.

Enthusiasm is the mainspring of the mind that urges one to put knowledge into action.

Enthusiasm is as essential to a salesperson as water is to a duck!

Enthusiasm knows no defeat!

Maximizing Your Profits with Scoring

SETTING YOUR MAXIMUM INTRADAY TRADING LOSS First things first: set a max intraday trading loss. There will be days when you just do not have it. Why do you think coaches pull their players when they are not playing well? They are more harmful on the field than off. When you are underperforming, you are hurting your team and your trading business. You need a system to yank yourself over to the bench. A stop loss is your answer. TRADING BASED UPON THE TIME OF DAY A good trader makes note of what time of day it is, when he trades most profitably, and adjusts his trading to fit such times. Your numbers at the end of the month will not reflect your true trading potential. Make the most trades with the most size during the trading periods that statistically are most profitable for you. Money saved during your weaker trading periods is money earned. Consistency The fact is that most trades you make will start working for you right away. But the new traders also hold stocks that are trading ag...

TIME

Time is the law of hypnotic  rhythm. The lapse of time required to give permanency to thought habits depends upon the object and the nature of thoughts. Time divides all thought habits into two classes, negative thoughts and positive thoughts. One's individual thoughts are of course constantly changing and being recombined to suit the individual's desires, but thoughts do not change from negative to positive or vice versa except throught voluntary effort on the part of the individual. Time penalizes the individual for all negative thoughts and rewards him for all positive thoughts, according to the nature and purpose of the thoughts. If one's dominating thoughts are negative, time penalizes the individual by building in his mind the habit of negative thinking and then proceeds to solidify this habit into "permanency," of course, refers to the natural life of the individual. In the strict sense of the term, nothing is permanent. Time converts thought habits into wh...

THE 4TH LAW Make It Satisfying

The Cardinal Rule of Behavior Change Everyone said handwashing was important, but few people made a habit out of it. The problem wasn’t knowledge. The problem was consistency. We are more likely to repeat a behavior when the experience is satisfying. This is entirely logical. Feelings of pleasure—even minor ones like washing your hands with soap that smells nice and lathers well—are signals that tell the brain: “This feels good. Do this again, next time.” Pleasure teaches your brain that a behavior is worth remembering and repeating.  Conversely, if an experience is not satisfying, we have little reason to repeat it. In my research, I came across the story of a woman who had a narcissistic relative who drove her nuts. In an attempt to spend less time with this egomaniac, she acted as dull and as boring as possible whenever he was around. Within a few encounters, he started avoiding her because he found her so uninteresting. Stories like these are evidence of the Cardinal Rule...
